Meet the Host
Hi there! I'm Crystal, a passionate doula and proud mom of two beautiful kids (3 and 8 months). I grew up in Illinois, and I've called Utah home for the past decade. I earned my BS in Special Education from BYU, but after 2 years of teaching, left to pursue motherhood full-time. In 2022, I felt called to be a doula and trained as both a birth doula and breastfeeding support doula. I'm dedicated to empowering women throughout their motherhood journey. I strive to foster strong communities and cultivate a culture where women uplift and support each other through the beautiful and challenging moments of motherhood.

As you step inside, you'll discover a warm and inviting space designed with the needs of growing families in mind. This space hosts community gathering, where families come together to share knowledge, experiences, and support.
The Utah Birth Place is also a hub of dedicated birth professionals, including midwives, doulas, lactation consultants, and more. These compassionate and experienced members are committed to providing personalized care and support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.
Of course, you won’t want to miss the home-away-from-home birthing suite, where comfort, safety, and privacy await. The space is thoughtfully designed to create a tranquil and intimate environment, allowing you to welcome your baby into the world with peace and serenity. From cozy furnishings to soothing ambiance, every detail is carefully curated to enhance your birthing experience.
Can I bring children?
Babies in arms are welcome to come. Older children may come if necessary and they are able to be non-disruptive throughout the evening.
how much does it cost?
If you pre-register, it is $5. At the door it is $7. This cost is to help pay for materials and the space. It can be sent via venmo to @crystal-flake or paid in cash at the event.
